REDWOOD CITY (MCH Information SF) – Authorities have arrested a person suspected of an armed carjacking in Redwood Metropolis over the weekend.
Round midnight on Saturday, a driver and passenger had been parked in entrance of an house constructing on the 1400 block of Marshall Avenue. Whereas the motive force went into the constructing, police mentioned the suspect approached the ready passenger with a gun.

The passenger received out of the car and the suspect drove off heading southbound in direction of Chestnut Avenue.
Shortly after 2:45 a.m., police in neighboring Menlo Park discovered the car on the 3600 block of Haven. Police mentioned the suspect then fled on foot into a close-by homeless encampment.

Officers from each companies searched the camp and located the suspect hiding beneath a trailer.
The suspect, recognized as 38-year-old Gerardo Santana, was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of carjacking and prison threats.
